A number of our viewers have been asking about getting some help with their taxes. Tax time is when you either end up with a little extra cash in your account, OR you grudgingly write a check to the IRS.
So, a couple of ideas. First, If its just a standard return, you can go online and let the IRS do it for you by just entering basic W-2 information.
But if you are older, and feel you need help here is something that might interest you. The AARP, the IRS, and Onslow County Senior Services are sponsoring Free Tax Assistance appointments for citizens 55 years and older.
Appointments are available between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on the following dates: Friday, February 19, 2010; Friday, March 19, 2010; and, Friday, April 9, 2010.
Please note that these are the only days AARP advisors will be available to do taxes in Onslow County. It is very important that all seniors needing assistance with their taxes call and make an appointment.
