Friends, Football and Fun

So, again, busy times call for less blogging. But, hey, at least it hasn’t been two months! Lots of things have happened, personally and in the sports world.
Good news, I am getting MARRIED! Hooray!! My wonderful and amazing boyfriend Kyle proposed in the middle of watching the Ole Miss-‘Bama game (SEC football, how fitting) a few weekends ago, and we are getting married in less than nine months! Our friends threw us this really fun engagement party in the middle of the World Series, it was awesome! Yay! Here’s a picture of us from what else, a football game:
ECU Homecoming is this weekend, yay. Too bad I won’t be here to see the win! We have some friends getting married in Raleigh. I will be with the Pirates in spirit. Let’s take over the Conference USA East Division!!!
I digress, to update you, my fantasy team still stinks. I am 1-8 and now, I’m basically checkin’ out, chalkin up the season to bad luck. My Colts, I think they might be cashing it in as well; they aren’t doing so stellar this year. Good game last weekend against the Patriots, but I don’t know how well they will fair against the Steelers. I pray Big Ben has to take the week off. Even though Peyton Manning says his knee isn’t affecting his playing, I think he’s lying. It might be easier if his O-Line wasn’t so defeated; he’s already been sacked 10 times. But, with everyone on both sides making their way back to the field, we may see some hints of the Colts of old before the year is over.
My ‘Dawgs, well, they got destroyed. The Florida game wasn’t even close; this is Urban Meyer’s team. It’s okay, I look forward to next year when Knowshon, Matt Stafford and AJ Green are all together again, and Tebow is gone to the NFL. Hallelujah. They just seem to be riddled with penalties. Every game, its dumb holding or false start penalties, and every 10 yard call adds up. This year: Chikin-fil-a bowl, next year: BCS Championship!
